When a small amount of
BOTOX Cosmetic®
is injected into a muscle it causes temporary weakness or paralysis of
that muscle. Ideally it is place into the muscle that is creating a
specific line or wrinkle. ie. place into the muscles that cause you to
frown in order to diminish the lines between the eyebrows or placed
into the tiny muscles that cause crows feet in order to diminish the
appearance of these lines. Ideally a BOTOX Cosmetic®
treatment will last from 3-5 months and is then repeated to maintain
the effect.
